What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file saved by your browser. Some are essential for the site to work; others (audience measurement, advertising) are optional and only used with your agreement.
Strictly necessary cookies and storage
These do not require consent and are not used to track you.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie (PHPSESSID or equivalent) | Signing in to your account, form security (anti-forgery token), anti-spam protection | Until you close the browser; signed out after 2 hours of inactivity |
site_lang | Remember your language (French, English or Tamil) | 12 months |
tm_consent | Remember your cookie choices | 6 months |
pwa_prompt_state_v1 (local storage) | Avoid asking too often whether you want to add the site to your home screen | Until you clear it |
postAdImageWarnings (session storage) | Show a message if some photos could not be added | While the message is shown |
| Service worker cache | Keep style sheets, scripts and images for faster display; no personal page is cached | Until the next site update |
Optional services (with your agreement)
- Audience measurement: none at the moment.
- Advertising: none at the moment.
Refusing is as easy as accepting. Your choice is kept for 6 months, then you will be asked again. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your agreement, the page reloads to stop the services concerned.
Content from other websites
- YouTube, TikTok and Instagram videos: the player is only loaded when you click the video. These platforms may then set their own cookies (YouTube is embedded in “privacy-enhanced” mode).
- Sign-in with Google: when you choose “Continue with Google”, you are redirected to Google, which applies its own cookie policy.
- Fonts: loaded from Google Fonts, without cookies.
Browser settings
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies prevents you from signing in.
